Morning Workshop

FROM INTENTION TO IMPACT: MAKING PATIENT-CENTRIC ENGAGEMENT WORK IN CLINICAL RESEARCH ACROSS STAKEHOLDERS

9:00 am – WORKSHOP REGISTRATION

9:30 am – 12:30 pm – MORNING WORKSHOP (30 mins. break included)

Patient engagement is crucial for designing patient-centered, feasible, and impactful clinical research. However, aligning priorities and defining meaningful engagement can be challenging for pharma, biotech, CROs, and patient advocacy groups, especially when patient input conflicts with scientific or regulatory constraints.

This interactive, multi stakeholder workshop will bring together sponsors, CROs, and patient advocates to co create shared definitions of meaningful engagement, map high value opportunities across the study lifecycle, and practice collaborative decision making. Participants will leave with actionable tools they can implement immediately, including engagement maps, decision frameworks, metrics, and patient-visible feedback loops, to improve study design, execution, and trust with patients.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Define meaningful patient engagement and align expectations across stakeholders.
  • Identify high value engagement touchpoints across the clinical research study lifecycle.
  • Practice transparent, collaborative decision-making when patient input conflicts with operational, scientific, or regulatory realities.
  • Develop actionable decision frameworks and escalation pathways for multi-stakeholder teams.
  • Select and apply high-impact engagement metrics reflecting study outcomes, patient experience, and operational value.
  • Design patient-visible feedback loops to demonstrate how patient input influenced study design and execution.
  • Commit to actionable next steps to operationalise patient engagement as a strategic asset in clinical research.

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm – Networking Lunch

Afternoon Workshop

INTEGRATING PATIENT INSIGHTS AS A STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE IN DRUG DEVELOPMENT

1:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Afternoon WORKSHOP (30 mins. break included)

Patient insights are a critical asset in developing therapies that meet patient needs, improve trial feasibility, and generate meaningful outcomes. However, translating insights into strategic advantage across drug development programs is often inconsistent and fragmented.

This workshop brings together pharma, biotech, CROs, and patient advocacy groups to show how patient insights can be leveraged as a strategic advantage. Through real-world examples, scenario-based exercises, and collaborative discussion, participants will map engagement opportunities across the development lifecycle, define operational processes, identify key metrics, and design patient visible feedback loops. Attendees will leave with actionable frameworks to enhance study design, optimize operations, and strengthen trust with patients and stakeholders.

Workshop Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the value of patient insights as a strategic asset.
  • Map opportunities to integrate patient input across protocol design, trial execution, and post-market activities.
  • Create operational frameworks that embed patient insights systematically across teams and stakeholders.
  • Define measurable outcomes and ROI indicators to demonstrate the value of engagement.
  • Build multi-stakeholder partnerships that sustain meaningful engagement over time.
  • Apply patient insights to actionable decisions that improve trial relevance and feasibility.
  • Commit to embedding patient insights as a core strategic driver in drug development.
